Full of mutually-exclusive elements, what inspired the SIZE 36 series was my attitude to the myriad dimensions of the fashion phenomenon and its influence on our patterns of behaviour. The attractiveness that I find in the slim figures evokes in me emotions that range from fascination to self condemnation to mere embarassment. The superior role of women and the slim figures proposed, whose role in photography is often played by models that have not yet come of age. Digital manipulation that transforms the carefully-selected perfection only to ultimately create a hybrid of the viewers expectations, a unique styling and unachievable paragons. What remains when we let go of fashion in the most popular size?
